The images of increasingly sophisticated architectures, identified as high tech products, are frequently introduced outside their cultural and economic context. This led us to suggest a reflection on their application and their relationship with technology in contemporary architecture.
To confront the result of some experiences of young architects in a number of European countries seems fundamental to illustrate questions arisen by the technical conditions of different labour markets in the context of contemporary architecture. And the ways these keep changing, regenerating, reinventing, when faced with the demands and needs of man to materialize dreams and aspirations through built space.
We think it is essential to restate the role of technology in architecture and in the qualification of urban space, as a process that opposes the hallucinating superficiality of the chaotic and uncontrolled trends proposed by the ephemeral market of fashion.
