DES-CONTINUIDADE displays documents that demonstrate the change between conceptual processes of contemporary architecture of the Northern Region of Portugal. It registers and shows the constant duality between the absorption of external influences and the consolidation process of a language proper of modern tradition. Methods and disciplinary processes, capable of maintaining the physical and sensorial identity, building in parallel the new realities whished and dreamed by the contemporary man. A process of extreme importance by the sphere of a more global architecture.
The initiative benefits the pluralism of cultural creation and affirms the divulgation of new cultural experiences of the Portuguese architecture and has as strategy the decentralization, apprehension and public formation, contributing to place in evidence the architectonic culture of the North of Portugal.
The major guide lines that structure the actions to execute claim to stimulate the dynamics of "interinstitucional", build an interdisciplinary and plural dialog between two countries to integrate changes and produce interplay between the cultural production of Portugal and Brazil.
The projects enchases in a disciplinary sphere in which the innovative characters are directly connected to the technological , economic and social evolution of the North of Portugal and it proposes to give visibility to the most recent architectonic production of the modern and contemporary generation in the North of Portugal.
