The houses are localized in one area of new residential expansion of Vila Real, with one site plan geometry defined by the regulations of the Urbanization Plan. The morphology of the land, the conditions of access from the only road on the East side, the great solar guideline and the site seeing over the landscape, have been the determining elements in the articulation of the spaces. The difference of approximately 2,00 meters between the street quota and that one of the inner garden and an ulterior difference given from the street inclination, has suggested to place that pedestrian one to the higher level. Three levels constitute the vertical articulation with the service zone (garage, laundry, kitchen and dinner) to the lower level. The dinning room and the study are in the intermediate plan and the bedrooms in the upper level. A trapezoidal volume supported on a stone wall, that delimits the spaces not constructed (inner patio, garden, entry to the garage), defines a figure emergent geometry from the street plan characterizing the several sides. The street side is a volume covered with granite stone emphasizing asymmetrically and symbolically the role of the door. On sides north and south there are small different openings that, in the proportional relations, emphasize the geometric simplification of the volume. The side West oriented over the valley, with the big window on two levels establishes one privileged relation with the landscape. The distribution of inner spaces around the stair emphasized from the great wall covered with the same marble in a great transparency between the several levels. The use of some walls in wood allows a possible and diversified use of some strategic spaces in the temporal management of the house. Dark wood, marble and white walls are the finish materials of the inner spaces. Granite stone, aluminum and white surfaces are the materials of the outside.
